Jacob was born and raised in Denver and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa honor society member. He holds a master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a General Course Certificate in Political Science from the London School of Economics. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 15% of his class with a full-tuition Chancellor Scholarship for academic excellence and community service. He also received the Scholastic Excellence Award for Evidence and the John Phillip Linn Labor Law Award.
Judicial Experience in Federal and State Court
During law school, Jacob interned for prestigious judges, including U.S. District Court Judge, R. Brooke Jackson; U.S. District Court Magistrate, Michael E. Haggerty; and Denver District Court Judge, John W. Madden, IV.
Committed to Community Service and Professional Development
Jacob volunteers with organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Metro Volunteer Lawyers, and the Rose Community Foundation’s Roots & Branches Foundation. He serves on the Associates Advisory Board for the Legal Aid Foundation and is an avid runner.
